FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is there a particular aspect of the concrete and construction jobs that you specialise in?

We specialise in the whole process from start to finish. We see our projects as works of art, and we are proud of our final product. We actually enjoy/LOVE our job!

How do you normally charge?

It all depends on the size of the job. If it's a big job that requires a lot of materials to set up, we ask for the client to cover the cost of these materials prior to commencement. It saves them money and time. Once the materials are on-site we start work, and on the day we finish we request that the outstanding amount be paid in full.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We want the work!  But of course the business still needs to make a profit.

How can a customer save money before you start the work?

Pretty much the less we have to do, the more money you will save.

Customers can get things ready for us, by preparing the pad themselves and purchasing some of their own products i.e. mesh, poly, drains.  We work with owner-builders who can form up their own slabs and we just come in and pour and finish. So they get a much smaller m2 rate.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

  • We need at the very minimum to see photos of the desired area to be worked on.
  • Lineal or square meter measurements
  • Type of product they wish to have installed
  • Location, so we know how far we’ll need to drive and if our team will be staying overnight.
  • Access to the job is very important too. If the job is at the back of a property or somewhere that we cannot access with a truck, we may need a concrete pump

Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Yes, we are insured up to $25million.

Yes, we guarantee our work!  But you should know that there are provisions where we can’t guarantee the products ordered, as we are not manufacturers or developers, we are installers. But we do guarantee our services. We are very approachable, we take great pride in our work, and will do what it takes to fix anything we have done wrong. We are willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Get to know your contractors, for any job.  If they have the experience and a long list of satisfied customers, they’ll be happy to share those with you.

“Can you show me your portfolio, evidence of previous jobs?”

“Have you got any references?

“Have you ever messed up a job? If yes, what action did you take to make it right?”

What do you like most about your job?

When I was a kid and played in the mud, I used to get yelled at by my parents! We all did. Now that I'm a grown man, I get to play in the mud and get paid for it!

And also, we love having happy customers and seeing our finished product.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Nothing beats owner builder jobs where we have to spend a few days with them.  And especially when we are doing remote jobs. People are so friendly and full of positive vibes… and scones and coffee! ;-)

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I was around 17 and needed a job and this was the first one I found, and I have been loving it ever since!
